The objectives of the Society is given under memorandum of Association. A copy of it is enclosed herewith.

• To undertake any Scheme entrusted by the Government and implement successfully in the field of Education and Society welfare.
• To run Government Aided Schools
• To run all types of Educational Institutions.
• To establish and run unaided Schools, Colleges, Institutions, following different stream of Education.
• To run formal Educational Institutions.
• To eradicate illiteracy and to work in the field of Adult Education Program.
• To implement non formal education programme implemented by the Government of India.
• To run night Schools in adopted villages to eradicate illiteracy found among the women especially Most Backward, SC and ST people.
• To bring out primer books for new literates.
• To bring out home journal for free distribution to the public.
• To give training for women and youth in entreprenual Development.
• To work for the uplift of the poor downtrodden, physically handicapped women, widows in rural areas.
• To grant Scholarship for the poor pupils.
• To take once sick Educational Institutions and work for its development.
• To receive grant and aid from the Government and run Institutions.
• To render educational and Social service to all communities without any discrimination of Caste, creed, colour, religion and region.
• This Society has focused more on conducting the Adult Education Programme and non formal Education Programme during the years 19. S a Government Recognized Voluntary Agency and Successfully implemented the Programmes and settled the accounts in time and submitted the utilization certificate to the Government of India.
• This Society has covered one complete area in Tindivanam municipality and successfully implemented on formal, education programme in 100 centres in 3 phases.
• It has also covered all the villages in Melmalalyanur Block and Vallam Block in Gingee Taluk which is considered as the most backward area in this District and 260 Adult Education centres were run in the above mentioned villages and Blocks in 1993.
• We were awarded best Voluntary Agency Award.

Our organization has organized several training programmes for the Voluntary Agencies of this District and neighbouring District. The training was conducted for the animators, supervisors, Assistant project officers, project officers and for the Voluntary Agency officials. This programmes were organized in co-ordination with the State Resource Centre, Tamilnadu.

The State Resource Centre, Chennai used to involve our Society ever iti conducted conferences seminars.

The SRC used to utilize the ser3vices of our organization to evaluate various programmes conducted by the Government of India through SRC and State Government.

During the year 2011 a pilot pilot project proposed by the Government of India; Ministry of Human Resource Development our organization has selected 5 villages in Tindivanam Taluk in Vilupuram District identified. Animator, Identified illiterate women and conducted literacy programme in 30 days successfully. This was done under the guidance of State Resource Centre, Tamilnadu. The State Development of Adult Education, Chief Educational officer, District Educational officer and the Director of State Resource Centre, Chennai visited the above villages and appreciated our implantation supervisor monitoring, training and evaluation system carried out by us with the co-operation of SRC officials.

Expansion of Activities and Registration

(i) Extent of expansion of activities of the organization from Local to District, State, National and International levels.

The Tagore Educational Society established in 1974 and registered in 1980 as a Voluntary agency.

• It established th 1st CBSE affiliated Higher Secondary School in Tindivanam Educational District.
• It established the 1st “Matriculation School at Tindivanam Educational District.
• t established a “Nursery and Primary School at NGO Colony in Tindivanam.
• It established the 1st Industrial Training Institute at Tindivanam.
• It took over the Management of Government Aided Private School. They are SriKamatchi Vilas Government Aided Middle Schoo. , Gandhi Government Aided Elementary School, Muslim government Aided Middle School.
• It established Self Financed High School.
• It was established a Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Neyvel in Block – 29.
• It has established a Primary School in Block 22 at Neyveli in Cuddalore District.
• It has also established a Primary School in Block – 22at Neyveli in Cuddalore District.
• It has also established a Matriculation School at Tambaram in Kancheepuram District.

• Awareness Programmes are conducted in the villages utilizing the services of our NSS / Scout troops.
• We are having our study centre at Katman in Nepal, our neighbour Country , every year students from Nepal are trained by us to become skilled persons in paramedical field.
• Our Society co-sponsored and Established an Arts and Science College for Women at Tindivanam in 1997, in Villupuram District.
• It offers degree and post graduate degree courses.
• It has also co-sponsored a College of Education and Established at Tindivanam in 2006 and produces B.Ed. qualified 60 teachers every year.
• Our organization is affiliated by Madras University, Thiruvalluivar University, Tamil Nadu open University, Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University, Alagappa University, Annai Theresa University to offer various regular degree and post graduate degree courses and many other diploma and degree courses through distance education.
• The Tagore Educational Society itself conducts it sown certificate courses for the School and College dropout students for the past several years.

Experience of the Organization

Training:

It has last experience in offering training for various level of people working in the filed of Adult Education and non formal Education.

• It coordination with the State Resource Centre we have offered.
• Supervisors training for other agencies project offices training animators training.
• It took part in several work ships organized by the SRC, Chennai.
• This introduction is already running Industrial training courses Vocational
• training courses, Paramedical workers training courses.
• It has last experience in training the Pre-Primary teachers.
• It has 7 years experience in training every year 100 B.Ed., degree course trainee teachers.
• It engages key resource persons to train the college lecturers and professors.
• It trains School Principals and Headmasters to become effective leaders.
• It trains every month hundreds of teachers on teaching methodology and new technology in introduced in on training programmes.
• The Founder and Secretary of the Society and the other EC members of the Society are also well versed in organizing and conducting training.
• We have Master trainers for all cadres of personals.
• We have necessary building and conference hall facilities to host training programmes.

Research

• Our Founder and promoter of this Society has done a research in non formal Education programme.
• Our institution was chosen for conducting the research work he has successfully completed his research and submitted thesis .
• We have number of qualified research scholars working in our Arts and Science College and B.Ed., College. Their services could be utilized to undertake further research in any field.
• We have established Bio Teach Research centre and action is initiated to do research in Bio Tech and agriculture oriented activity. Qualified technologists are appointed.

Evaluation

We have sufficient experience in undertaking evaluationwork.

During the year 2010 – 2011 the SRC engaged ouor organization to undertake evaluation work throughout Villupuram District.

Leaners assessment was done, it was organized in Villupuram District by National Open School and NLM authorities and we have acted as observing and squad members and posted our staff on officers on special duty. Our 22 members were engaged in August 2010, March 2011 in observation evaluation work, observation reports were sent to National open School, Regional centre at Coachi.

We have qualified and experienced faculty to undertake evaluation work in any field in formal education, non formal or Adult Education or Vocational or Technical Education.

Material Production:

We have qualified writers and authors to prepare any material for the use of illiterates, neo liters, adult learners etc.,

We know in material production.

We have also served as member of the material production committee organized the SRC authors and other reputed authors.

We are capable of producing book or print material and audio, video, computer aided technology is known to us.

Programming planning and Implementation:

We have sufficient experience in preparing Annual plan half yearly, quarterly, monthly plan and execute the plan systematically and successfully.

We are well versed in programme planning and Budget Revenue and Expenditure planning.

As far as implementing any programme is concerned we have already provided to be successful implementing agency.

For the successful implementation of the government programme. We have adjudged and awarded 2 times best Voluntary agency award by the Tamil Nadu Board of continuing Education, Malcom Adishsiash Award was conferred on as twice.

Direct Intervention:

Our agency directly involves in planning, monitoring and evaluation and reporting. This agency used its infrastructure and other facilities to visit and supervise all the centres and Programme conducted.

It deputies its office bearers to go to field and work for propagation, to conduct survey, to organize or mobilize the rural people.

It is keen in making all ventures more useful and successful, periodical assessment will be made by the voluntary agency through its direct intervention.

Advocacy:

The management has gained sufficient experience in propagating the aim, objective and the concept of the government programmes implemented to eradicate illiteracy.

The agency has arranged street meeting stage plays, dramas prepared hand bills and distributed to the public, conducted has organized processions to popularize the Government scheme.

Involves local leaders to implement the Programmes successfully.

Knows the art of using the radio, T.V Medias to allocate the public. We used to screen film connected to various Social problems, awareness and on various Government schemes. The public must be made known about our Programmes for which we have to use the various Medias.

Net Working:

This organization posses sufficient experience in net working. This organization co-ordinates with all Government department, Developmental agencies, it has very good net work facility with State resource centre, Directorate of Adult and non formal Education, and with other Government offices at State and Central Qualified and experienced persons are appointed in various hierarchy through whom perfect net working is done systematically.
